Deacons & Hymns Ministry

“For they that have used the office of a deacon well purchase to themselves a good degree, and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus.”
(1 Timothy 3:13) NKJV

Deacons Ministry aims to develop our young generation to become well acquainted with our Coptic church’s hymnology, tradition and rituals. Though deaconship ministry – as a rank of priesthood – limited only to males, learning hymnology, tradition and rituals is open to every member of the Coptic Church.

Dear St. Mary’s Family –

The peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.

In order to organize the deacons’ ordination and elevations, the Deacons Ministry in our church has put together some guidelines and requirements to make the process clearer as summarized below:

Priest’s Signatures on the form

–  Anyone who desire to be ordained should meet the guidelines published by the Deacons

Ministry and the Diocese (enclosed)

–      Elevations:

–  Elevations may take place in April and/or August of each year as necessary and as identified by the Church’s Priest and Deacons Ministry

–  Elevations are not by request by rather by appointment and selection based on the guidelines published by the Deacons Ministry and the Diocese (enclosed)

Ministry and the Diocese (enclosed)

May God bless the services of the Deacons Ministry and all of our deacons.
